Tag Rugby
Next Thursday 16 June
from 6 to 8pm.
Free BBQ this Thursday 16 June for all who register
on the night.
This is your last chance to play Tag Rugby this year. Registration
for the 2nd session of Tag Rugby in Bandon RFC takes place this Thursday
16th June from 6 to 8pm. Matches will take place every Thursday evening
for all adults, (male and female) until the end of July
Tag Rugby is a non-contact team game in
which each player wears a belt that has two velcro tags attached to it,
or shorts with velcro patches. The mode of play is similar to rugby
league with attacking players attempting to dodge, evade and pass a
rugby ball while defenders attempt to prevent them scoring by "tagging"-
pulling a velcro attached tag from the ball carrier
Benefits
Tag
Rugby is ideal as a form of rugby competition in itself or as a social
form of the game both Men and Women. Players use the sport as a means of
keeping fit over the summer months or as an excellent start to a good
night out. Many companies field teams for social element. For a person
who has been unable to play rugby and wants to give some form a go or an
ex-player who wishes to get back out on the field, Summertime cannot
come quick enough!
We in addition to the TAG provide a party
atmosphere with Music and BBQ on the go every week so you can soak in
some good tunes and some fresh food when the exercising is over
 Sessions
We at Bandon TAG run 2 well attended sessions every summer with the 1st Commencing in May/June and the 2nd session in Mid June/July
