 Welcome to Bandon Rugby Club, One of Irelands oldest affiliated teams to the IRFU.

Bandon Rugby Football Club was established in 1882. The Rugby Club facilities, which comprise a Pavilion and 3 full size pitches is located a mile on the Clonakilty side of Bandon Town at Oldchapel. Oldchapel has been the Club's base since 1982, when in the centenary year of the Club the dream of many members came to fruition when the then president of the I.R.F.U
Gerald Reidy officially opened the Pavilion and Grounds. Bandon R.F.C is a Junior Club and today enjoys a large membership with Junior 1, 2, 3 Teams being fielded by the Club.

RFC Lottery
The numbers drawn on Wednesday 1 February were 9, 14 and 19. The jackpot of €2,600 was not won. Match Report
Bandon 17 v Kinsale  10          Munster Junior League. Bandon 1st 1X hosted Kinsale in the Junior League on Sunday last and achieve a well deserved victory. Bandon were up for the game taking the opposition on up front. Leading from the front Captain J.P Lucey was to the fore in the early exchanges. Bandon put pressure on the opposition at the ruck and maul. Ten minutes into the game a hooker Chris Hartnett scored a fine try off a line after a clever pass from Dave Doran. Cathal Crowley converted from a difficult angle. Kinsale sitting in third place in the league tried hard to get a foot hold in the game. Bandon defended well some fine kicking by outhalf Kevin South ,Conor Moloney and David Aherne pinned the opposition down. Twenty minutes into the half Kinsale scored a good try through their backs opening up the Bandon defence to score under the posts the try was converted. Bandon were galvanised by the consession of this score coming close to scoring with some good back play of their own. The pressure on Kinsale told again late on in the first half. A good take in the line out by Des Prendergast saw Bandon bring play close to the Kinsale line scrum half Jack Crowley went over to score a try from a pile up close to the line, Cathal Crowley converted. Bandon led 14 to 7 at half time in the second half Kinsale tried to come back pressurising the Bandon line they were awarded with a penalty. Great defence by Richie Crowley, Pat Prendergast and Mick Murphy in the back row held the Bandon line. Bandon began to pin Kinsale back in their own half. A man of the match performance by prop forward Timmy Crowley in tight and loose inspired Bandon to maintain the pressure on the opposition. Cathal Crowley converted a penalty mid way through the half. Bandon defended like tigers. Sean O’Riordan and Richie Milner was unlucky not to score and confined Kinsale to limited forays into the Bandon half. At the final whistle Bandon had won by 17pts to 10pts. A welcome win which was greeted by cheers from the Bandon supporters.
